BIO: Joe Prior, Seal Beach artist, and former Fresno State Baseball Player has been spending his quarantine hours honing his painting skills in his studio. Primarily working with mixed media on canvas, Joe’s work embraces and is influenced by the idea that we are all weird in our own way and to embrace that weird. Inspired by the LA graffiti scene Joe works solely off of thrift store canvas. He enjoys taking old canvases and giving them new life. Influence by Jean Michele Basquiat and Keith Haring Joe’s work showcases a unique combination of abstract expressionism and pop art meant to make the viewer see the work through a child’s eyes.
